The challenge
Build a maintainable public site that presents engineering work while also giving independent tools their own product and documentation pages. Keep recurring costs low and retain control of the source code and publishing process.
Technical approach
- A small object-oriented PHP theme with autoloading and separate setup, data and view responsibilities.
- Reusable WordPress page templates and native parent/child Page catalogs so portfolio cases and software documentation can be edited in the WordPress admin.
- Translation-ready interface strings and an optional language-switching integration, without coupling content URLs to future licensing or payment services.
- Protected GitHub main, pull-request checks, PHP syntax and isolated template tests, plus read-only browser smoke tests.
- A manual deployment workflow with dry-run preview, theme snapshots and rollback checks.
Result and status
The theme powers this website and is developed openly. The platform is evolving: multilingual content, product releases and additional case studies will be added in stages. No unsupported performance or business metrics are claimed.
